Environmental Consultant (Aberdeen)

Our client has an exciting new role for an environmental consultant with environmental management skill sets with proven offshore oil & gas project experience across the project lifecycle.

You will be key member of E&I UK Oil & Gas sector team who has the capacity to not only to manage projects and manage client relationships, but also to undertake targeted marketing to a range of clients and prepare high quality proposals and win new commissions from clients.

Your responsibilities will involve working with Operators regarding their strategic environmental matters including:

• PONS
• Preparing environmental Baseline documents
• EU ETS and PPC
• Drafting Annual Environmental reports
• Emergency Response and Oil Spill Response
• Administering the Approvals and Consents working with technical specialist to ensure application for new and/or renewal of existing Approvals and Consents.
• Representing the company on the Oil and Gas UK Environmental Forum and identify best practice with regard to Environmental Management and protection.

It is essential that you are:
• Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in Environmental and/or environmental engineering.
• A professional member of appropriate professional
• Experienced in delivery of environmental regulatory services to the offshore oil and gas industry.
• Knowledgeable of oil & gas assets, environmental legislation, permitting and application of services, industry practices, techniques and programmes.
• In possession of a good working knowledge of regulatory authorities and their requirements.

Desirable experience would include:
• Experience of working in a multi skilled team, providing additional HSE support in addition to environmental role e.g. HAZIDs; ENVIDs; Risk and BAT Assessments etc.
• Working with engineering design teams to provide leadership to design teams on environmental best practice and regulatory compliance.

You will have the ability to interface with others and to communicate well at all levels and must have the commitment to identify, analyse and propose solutions to problems in a constructive and positive manner. You will be organised and able to multi-task and be able to prioritise and have excellent presentation and communication skills.
