Duties/Responsibilities:
You should offer us: • Experience in the management of ornithological surveys, analysis and reporting • Experience in the management of staff undertaking ornithology projects • Knowledge of ornithological issues relating to intertidal waterfowl ecology • Experience of environmental impact assessment and specifically, the assessment of impacts on birds and their habitats • Competency in the identification of British bird species, by sight and sound and a track-record of surveys using standard methodologies • A working knowledge of key environmental legislation and policy (e.g. Birds/Habitats Directive, PPS9) • A relevant degree in the natural sciences • Knowledge of statistical analysis, mapping and modelling techniques is an advantage
